Groov-Pin employees participated in the Free to Breathe Virtual 5K event last month. We encouraged employees to donate to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation (LCRF) and participate in the virtual event since we could not participate in person this year.
Last year, Groov-Pin employees participated in person (as Go Team Jo!) in New Jersey and Rhode Island to honor a member of our team, Joanne, who is battling lung cancer. All participants enjoyed connecting with the community by supporting each other and everyone they know who is affected by lung cancer.
To encourage participation in the virtual event, we created a raffle for participants. By submitting time and step count, participants earned one ticket for a healthy living gift basket filled with healthy snacks, a cooling cloth, massage balls, and workout towels. If participants submitted photos wearing GP Fit apparel, they could earn an extra entry into the prize drawing.
Special thanks to Scot Jones, Susan Smith, Nancy Ziemba, Lauren Ciuba, and Louise York, who submitted their times and step counts for Groov-Pin’s employee challenge!
