Tap-Lok Coarse Series threaded inserts are thread-cutting inserts designed for use in thermoplastics and thermoset plastics. Widely spaced external threads reduce installation torque and distribute stress evenly for superior pull-out resistance, even in brittle plastics. Threaded inserts for plastic feature cutting slots that are self-tapping and self-locking for easy, one-step installation and excellent vibration resistance.

Coarse Series threaded inserts are designed specifically for plastic and provide the highest pull-out resistance for plastics. For plastics containing highly abrasive fillers, we recommend steel Slotted Series threaded inserts.
