Scott Stanier is our application specialist in charge of all sales for the 16 western states (AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, NM, NV, OK, OR, TX, UT, WZ, WY).
Scott graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in corporate finance and started working for a major bank, but quickly realized he didn’t like the world of finance. What he did like about his position was talking to the customers. This realization led him to a career in sales, which he began at Groov-Pin.
“I chose Groov-Pin because it was a small, family-run company where I could make an impact,” he said. “You can easily get lost in a large company.”
Since he started with Groov-Pin 26 years ago, his position has grown geographically to pick up more of the western states. The company has also started doing more business in Mexico, which also falls under his territory.
Scott frequently exhibits at and walks trade shows for Groov-Pin, the most recent one being the National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo in Las Vegas. In addition to visiting with existing customers, the Groov-Pin sales team was able to meet their goal of procuring quality leads for new business.
When he’s not selling Threaded Inserts, Grooved Pins, and custom Precision Turned Components, Scott is an avid fly fisherman and takes an annual trip to the Eastern Sierra Mountains.
