Groov-Pin was named a Healthiest Employer in Rhode Island by Providence Business News for the fifth year in a row.

Healthiest Employers is an annual event that recognizes employers who have implemented worksite Health & Wellness programs and have shown a commitment to employee health and safety.

Groov-Pin is proud to have been recognized for our employee wellness program, GP Fit. Each year, the wellness team plans events and programs that encompass the many aspects of health – physical, mental, social, and financial.

GP Fit events like on-site acupuncture, self-defense classes, monthly yoga and nutrition sessions, and group fundraising walks place a focus on mental and social well-being as well as physical health.

This year, Groov-Pin’s wellness program is celebrating its 10th year. “We started out with an idea and we’ve grown it into a branded program and we have been recognized by wellness organizations,” said Susan Smith, HR Director.

“It’s exciting to see how the program has evolved and to see the impact it’s had on some of our employees like reducing insulin numbers and helping people stay active during the COVID-19 pandemic,” she said. “Who knew the first year that we started our program that this is what it would grow into.”
