The third in our series exploring Groov-Pin’s company values is ‘Deliver What’s Promised.’ Groov-Pin is committed to delivering Grooved Pins, Threaded Inserts, and Precision Turned Components of the highest quality that fully satisfy customer needs.
To follow through on this promise, we employ only the highest standards of engineering, manufacturing process control, and quality inspection. Delivery performance and responsiveness are also top priorities.
One of our most significant promises to customers is the quality of our products. Our team understands the subtleties of working with challenging materials, tolerances, and finishes, which helps us deliver the most reliable parts.
To uphold our quality commitment, we regularly undergo the process to maintain AS9100 and ISO 9001 certification for both of our manufacturing facilities in Smithfield, Rhode Island, and Newnan, Georgia. We also strive to meet customer-specific quality standards and metrics.
The Groov-Pin team can have many different interpretations of the value ‘Deliver What’s Promised’ depending upon their department and responsibilities. Read on to learn how some of our employees work to deliver what we promise:
Bob Grillo, Production Manager
“Every day at Groov-Pin, we focus on shipping the customer what they want, when they want it. It’s one of the biggest motivators for every employee in the business and delivering what we promised helps us to ensure the kind of relationships we want to have with our customers. This information is shared with every employee. We talk about jobs that are needed now to ensure that we’re shipping on time. The first orders we get come from the sales team and every additional order is won by the company delivering on what we promised. We track on-time performance every day.”
Ray Scungio, Machine Department Head
“We are committed to delivering what we promised and improving our operations. It all starts when the order comes in; we need to make sure we have everything. Sometimes, there’s a bump in the road, but we get past that. When I work on primary jobs that I have full control over, I work to make sure we’re on time with everything. We often have to work together to get what we need from different departments to deliver to the customer. We make almost a million pieces a week and when we work together, for example when quality control comes out on the floor to check parts, we are able to deliver on those promises.”
Jon Dupre, Engineer
“To me, ‘Deliver What’s Promised’ means talking with the customer and coming up with achievable goals like delivery dates or print tolerance that we can meet to satisfy the customers’ needs. We do not like to make promises to customers that we cannot keep. Keeping our promises to customers helps to build trust and loyalty so our customers know that they can count on us. That value is upheld by having daily and weekly meetings to ensure the jobs are running properly and on time. If there are issues, they are addressed and solved and then communicated to the customer.”
