Groov-Pin is honored to have been a presenting sponsor of Crossroads Rhode Island’s Women Helping Women fundraising event on Thursday, May 6, 2021.

For 125 years, Crossroads has allowed members of the community to strengthen their wellbeing through prioritizing shelter, health, and wellness. The Women Helping Women event brings women together to help those in need overcome homelessness.

Although the event was held virtually this year, attendees were able to network and learn about the critical work Crossroads does every day.

Attendees heard remarks from Karen Santilli, Crossroads’ president and CEO, and board member Mary Leahey. We also heard stories from Crossroads employees who have worked tirelessly through the pandemic to provide support and guidance to every client in shelter and housing.

Participants also heard from Shayanne, a Crossroads client whose wellbeing was greatly impacted by Crossroads and, in particular, her case manager. Shayanne and other Crossroads clients are able to persevere through challenging times with access to services including emergency shelter, housing, education, and employment programs.

Leading up to the event, Crossroads raised $80,000 through event ticket sales and donations. By the midpoint of the event, they had raised $10,000 more! You can make a donation to support Crossroads’ efforts here.

Groov-Pin and Crossroads

As Groov-Pin approaches a milestone anniversary – its 95th this month – we have been recognized for our wellness program for the fourth year in a row. Our Walk to Wellness challenges combine healthy choices with raising awareness and funds for community organizations.

In addition to exploring healthy options for ourselves and our families, we set priorities for contributions to the community. This year we celebrate the work of Crossroads!
