Groov-Pin was named a Best Wellness Employer by Wellness Workdays. We earned silver certification for our standard to above-average rankings in each of the four survey categories: assessment, strategy, implementation, and evaluation.

Employee wellness is an important focus for many companies, including Groov-Pin. Wellness Workdays “provides data and research about practices and wellness outcomes to further the field of worksite wellness” and gives employers the opportunity to showcase their wellness initiatives and how they positively affect employees’ health and wellbeing. You can learn more about the Best Wellness Employers program here.

Groov-Pin has a solid strategy and commitment to employee wellbeing. We have a well-established corporate wellness program, but we are always striving to develop new initiatives and find new ways to encourage employee wellness in different areas including physical, mental, and financial health.

Healthy employees benefit both the individual and the business, increasing productivity and employee satisfaction. Our wellness initiatives include lunch and learn events, health fairs, walking challenges, and more. These initiatives are designed to encourage employees to prioritize general health, physical fitness, and positive eating habits.

Employees who participate in our wellness program are rewarded with wellness incentive dollars, which can be earned by completing the following activities: personal health assessment, annual wellness exam, dental cleaning, BMI and blood pressure check, a Walk to Wellness program, and gym membership.

One of our most important (and most fun) health initiatives is Walk to Wellness. Throughout the year, we hold Walk to Wellness walking challenges with different themes, goals, and prizes. We have challenged employees to a 90-mile walking challenge for our 90th anniversary, a 10,000-step daily walking challenge, and a March Madness team walking competition. All participating employees have the chance to earn prizes like restaurant gift cards, Groov-Pin apparel, and paid vacation time.

We regularly hold wellness events in both of our facilities in Georgia and Rhode Island. Past events have included a lunch and learn with a local chiropractor, a yoga workshop, and a health fair with medical and healthy living vendors. We also provide fresh fruit and water for employees and host flu shot clinics and blood pressure checks.
