Groov-Pin’s recent wellness challenge raised funds for Crossroads Rhode Island to celebrate Crossroads’ 130 years of service to the community.
Community is an important pillar of health and one that our employee wellness program (GPfit) strives to support year-round. With a goal of instilling pride for giving back, GPfit helps employees develop a foundation of community and service to others while also prioritizing their own health and well-being.
We divided participants into two teams to promote friendly competition and make the challenge more fun. Each team was challenged to complete 1,600 miles over the course of a month.
Teams were encouraged to reach five mileage milestones worth $130 in donations. Each team had an opportunity to raise a total of $650 for Crossroads.
Groov-Pin leaders added an extra incentive – if both teams met all challenge milestones, they pledged to double the donation amount. Both teams reached all milestones and then some! Together, they surpassed the goal mileage by 140%, earning a total of $2,600 for Crossroads!
Groov-Pin has partnered with Crossroads for many years and we are proud to support their critical work in the Rhode Island community.
