On May 20, 2018, Groov-Pin celebrated 92 years of business. The company was founded in 1926 to develop a patented press-fit fastener called a Groov-Pin. The original Type 1 Grooved Pin is still being manufactured today.
Over the years, Groov-Pin also developed the Tap-Lok® line of threaded inserts, acquired the Speedserts® line of stainless steel, thread-forming inserts, and acquired Precision Turned Components to produce high-end, high-tolerance parts for the Telecommunications/RF Connector market.
