Nancy started part-time at Groov-Pin in 1985 as her first job out of college. She started in production and through a love of learning, moved to the accounting department. She then became purchasing manager and ultimately began working in customer service.
Nancy said a benefit of working in customer service is being able to help people and one of her strengths is getting ahead of customers and following up before they even have to call.
On a day-to-day basis, Nancy handles email and phone calls to take orders, quote prices and delivery, manage expedites, and follow up with pending items. By connecting with customers daily, she realizes the impact manufacturing careers have. “You’re making something and taking pride in your work,” she said. “There’s so much today that isn’t hands-on so it’s nice to have something physical.”
Nancy said the best about working for Groov-Pin is the people she works with, a sentiment echoed by many Groov-Pin employees. Over the years, she has enjoyed meeting members of the Groov-Pin team from our facilities in Rhode Island and Georgia.
